This great first day cover from Taiwan features 4 of the country’s beautiful Alpine Lakes. This cover is listed as first in the series; hopefully there will be more stamps in the series soon.

  • Top left: Cuichi Pond in Miaoli County, the highest of all lakes in Taiwan (3520 metres)
  • Top right: Tunlu Pond in Nantou County
  • Bottom left: Qicai Lake in Hualien County
  • Bottom right: Jiaming Lake in Taitung County, known as “the sapphire that god left in the world of mortals” or “the tear of an angel”
